The Free Company of
Shadow Ravenloft
These are the Company Rules that all members who join agree to adhere too and apply during their time with the Free Company. Anyone going against the rules and conduct will be kicked from the Free Company. There is no "I did not know.". Thus being said, not everyone will get along and play nicely with each other. After all we are all human and do have tendencies that will eventually annoy or irritate someone else in the linkshell at some point. So to deal with how to handle such matters there are rules and conducts which to abide by, the more you work at applying these rules, the more fun and social things will be.
The 3 Golden Rules
Rule #1: We expect all members to abide by the TOS (Terms of Service) Agreement that you "Agreed" with when you installed FFXIV onto your system. That means no hacking, no botting, and no use of third party software, even for stuffing around with the game.–-Yes we are aware that some members will use 3rd party programs to play the game. If you do use them that is your personal choice and option to do so. However we ask that do not encourage other members to use such programs, or gloat and brag about such said programs. All that we are saying here really is that we wish for members to play the game as it was intended to be played by the company. If you choose, however, to use 3rd party programs that choice is still entirely up to you.
Rule #2: FC chat - please keep language civil. Racial, sexual, religious or any otherwise discriminatory slurs will not be tolerated. Please refrain from swearing in ls chat/events where possible.–-We do understand that at times this game will be frustrating and you will want to vent. That is understandable that occasionally a swear word will appear time to time in the chat. However we do not want our chat filled up with foul degrading language or slandering of another player. You will be warned up to 3 times. If it persists you will be removed from the company. The main point is for people to converse while having fun. Have speech that is up-building towards one another, help out with information if a question appears and you know the answer.–-"The tongue is like a fire, think of how a little fire if not tamed can cause a wildfire in a mere matter of time.". So too can an unbridled tongue start up a heated argument amongst people that can occur into causing divisions in the company or people to leave. So do not debase anyone or have talk that is injurious and unruly.
Rule #3: Gilselling/buying will not be tolerated, nor will we ever sell runs/clears. If you're going to do that, go and find another company now!–-This rule speaks for itself. The FC will not tolerate anyone purchasing or selling gil. Our FC will not have that kind of reproach brought upon its name.
